I’m grateful for the opportunity to blend my two personal passions - mountain biking and learning & development. At The Spokelore, we’re committed to creating an inviting, inclusive environment for anyone who wants to grow their skills and enjoy their time on the trail. To me, it’s about connecting — with your bike, the outdoors, your partner, your friends… and yourself.
I hope to help uncover and help you develop your passion for mountain biking, at what ever level is ideal for you.
As a Level 2 BICP-certified coach, I can help your skill growth from fundamentals to advanced levels. So, you can enjoy mountain biking as an accessible, lifelong activity, at every level.
If you like, we can take the concept of connection even further. As a Gallup-certified StrengthsFinder coach, I can work with individuals or groups to show you how your individual strengths as a person, translate to your strengths as a rider.
Private coaching created to meet your personal learning needs by individualizing coaching just for you, your learning style, as well as your goals. You won't get boxed into a one-size-fits-all program, my coaching matches you personally, right where your skills and goals are.
Coaching sessions will include on-bike coaching as well as reps, observation, didactic discussion, video review and breakdown, take home learning tools.
Fundamental MTB Skills Mini Clinic at the MAC
January 11, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM
$99 Per Person (Limit 8 People)
Do you ever feel like you are along for the ride when mountain biking — not ideally in control, but managing to rumble through your ride? That's pretty standard if you are riding your bike like you drive a car — passively guiding — rather than actively directing. Or, if you are trying to control and direct your bike through your hands rather than your feet.
We created our mini clinic to introduce you to key skills and skill steps for actively directing your bike with heavy feet and light hands. We will teach you skills that can be directly applied to your trail riding whether your riding is just for fun and adventure, XC racing, enduro racing, or simply to make riding more fun by adding skills that will level your riding up. This clinic will build your skills and elevate your confidence any trail.
The Fundamentals indoor winter clinic includes:

Wheel lifts — from a basic Front Wheel Lift to an advanced Trail Manual — are't just for show. Wheel lifts have very specific trail use that will make not only take your riding to a higher level, but will take you wider in your terrain choices and add entire new elements of fun to your riding.

MTBing is a lifetime sport that opens up our world and even continues our metal acuity development. It's something we can share with our closest pals, significant other, kids, and even extended family. As much as we'd like watching YouTube videos to be the perfect learning grail. Honestly, nothing takes the place of regular practice and live learning sessions.

Whether locally or nationally, nearly all trails are stepping up their builds and upgrades to offer you plenty of chances to catch air on your rig. But, just "sending it" is a model for eventual disaster. So, taking the time to learn and practice the fundamental steps for these skills will prepare you for smart sends and more sending success.
